The Pure Love of Christ - Charity

We had a great lesson from church today about charity. It's great to learn what Apostle Paul had said about charity in 1 Chronicles 13. That even if we had all the knowledge, all the faith that we can move mountains and have been a witness to countless angels but without charity we are nothing. It's the greatest among faith and hope. It's a kind of unconditional love and expects nothing in return.

We have not charity if we only serve people within our comfort zone or situations we like. I'm a big fan of Ronald Reagan because he is full of charity. When he got shot by this young boy as an assassination attempt and rushed to the emergency room, the first thing he thought of was that of the boy who shot him. He said a prayer in his heart that the boy would be fine and  hoped that he would become a better person. I could not think think the same way if that happen to me. Some are born with it. Others have to improve it, like me.

The Lord Jesus Christ had infinite love for the human kind. He went in as a lamb going to his slaughter he knew that this has to happen or else all mankind will be lost. At the cross, he pleaded with this Father to forgive those who had crucified him for they know not what they do. He had the perfect understanding of what their situation was.

I had an experience where I requested for another copy of my diploma for my bachelor's degree. That required me to travel about 8-10 hours heading to school to apply for another diploma. They said it would take at least 3 months before I can get it. But my time was far spent and had to get it a year after. The lady at the registrar pulled my diploma and to my surprise, they made it for the same name but for a different person. There were 3 exactly the same full names in school when I graduated. I understood the situation and I didn't get angry or disappointed. I smiled and asked them to make sure the next time I come it will be mine. The lady was so happy that she wanted me to be her friend and we've kept in touch from them on.
