I would like to share my beliefs and faith with everyone and everybody is welcome to ask questions about us, the Mormons. I've been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints church, commonly known as Mormons or LDS since 1984. At the age of 19 I went on a Mission in Philippines Ilagan Mission for 2 years. I hold the Melchizedek Priesthood under the office of Elder. My wife and I got married at the Alabama Temple May of 2009.

Roswell Stake Conference

Today we had a live broadcast from Salt Lake for our Stake Conference, which we didn't have to go to the Stake Center but went instead to our chapel building where we can watch the broadcast. Elder Gibbons, Sis. Dalton, Elder Perry and Elder Eyring had delivered their talk.

It is true that the only we attain security is through living the commandments of God. In this tumultuous times, God himself provides for his people peace and comfort. When we pay our tithing by faith, not by funds, the Lord delivers his promised blessings to us.

Elder Eyring had touched very much at one point in this talk Getting back the members in our family who had willfully strayed away from the church. That means a lot to me since I'm the only one active. I feel my siblings are never coming back. I feel the same for my parents. My mom has been going on and off but I'm not really sure if she has the testimony about the Book of Mormon. But boy, her faith is as big as a mountain. All I can do is continuously be kind and loving to them.

Technology can be both a blessing and a distraction in increasing our faith, especially to the youth. I had my first cellphone after graduating from college. I'm glad I didn't have it at an early age. I see many teenagers, so focused on their tech toys that they loose the value of learning the gospel better.
